Our Favorite Province
In 1994,
we drove our van, "Toy Ota," over 40,000
km around China, from Xiamen on the coast up to Mongolida, through
the Gobi Desert, and to Tibet and back. (Read "Tibet
or Bust!") Since then we've driven another 100,000+ km. around
China, but Fujian is still our favorite province. Click links below
for intros to our favorite places!

Hun custom dictates that, until a child is born, newlyweds may sleep
together only on 3 nights a year : Spring Festival, Grave Sweeping Day,
and Mid-Autumn Festival. Until a child is born, if they meet one another
on the street, they must act as if they dont even know each other.
They must really make hay on the holidays!
